I went to Creation Skatepark (formerly known as Epic) recently with Hitchcox to shoot some pics of Mankind rider Martyn Cooper. He's really good, really dialled and a super nice guy. I was having some technical difficulties on this day, I think it may have just been down to the cold, batteries don't like the cold. It's really dark in there too, but i got a couple of nice ones. He broke his hand shortly after I finished shooting these, so get well soon Martyn. Hope you like them.

Secrets......
Last week I went to Brighton to see Merman and Dayson. Haggler and Moses were hanging around too having spent the night there getting up to no good. Merman took us to the not-so-secret warehouse/ghetto ramp setup they have there, which was super cool. I was expecting some really shady ramps with holes in, but was actually pretty surprised at the quality. The cool thing about this place, as with most ghetto setups, is the fact that you can't just ride it first time round, it takes quite some getting used to. I'm definately going back there to ride it, it probably won't be there much longer.

Lemme Explain....
It was a Friday night, last Friday in fact. It was pissing down with rain and Me, Moses and Haggler were preparing for massive night out in Wokingham. Massive. Anyway, cut a long story short, there is a tree at the end of Hagglers driveway, it's pretty old with knots and stuff on it. As we opened to the front door to greet the taximan, a great thing stood before us. Like the Turin shroud, or statue of the virgin Mary crying blood. Where the rain was running down this tree the water marks made a perfect face. Not any perfect face though, but Lemme from Motorhead. And not just a little bit either, where you have to sort of squint a bit, but 100% Lemme Kilmisters face, right there in wood and water, 8 feet off the ground and about 4 feet top to bottom. It was the highlight of the night, like I said, we were about to go out in Wokingham. Anyway, judge for yourselves. You won't be disappointed!

Burnley Allnighter
I went on a small roadtrip this weekend with Hitchcox and Big Money Brian. We went to Corby first and met up with Bellerby, Briggs and Hammerfist Lee Boyle, which was well busy as usual but pretty good fun. They headed off home after the session while we headed up to Interact in Burnley for an allnight jam. We got there about 11 and started riding. When I say riding I mean [Me and Brian] mostly sitting and watching the rediculous show, like young Harry Maine from Liverpool doing some flair-540 tyretap (almost to whip in! - Which i'm sure he's done already) and stupid stupid high airs with some really nice snappy inverts thrown in. I didn't get any pictures of this unfortunately due to his tyre splitting. Gay. I did however get a couple of pics of a nice chap called Jason Phelan who is another Rampworx local. He lookes like a ginger/blondish Howard Moon from The Mighty Boosh (to me anyway), and was doing some rad shit. Flairs out the 9 foot over head height, and massive pocket airs - with a barspin thrown in too. Have a look!

STREEEET!!
Mr Zeal rang me the other day to see if was up for taking a few pics of him, riding some street and what not. The weather's been pretty rubbish lately, but it was dry all day so it was all on. Until 5.30 when i left work and the heavens opened. James was already on the way so we had a cup of tea and then headed out to the underground. To my surprise there was actually a pretty fun session going on. I got a few pics of James and Ashley doing a mahoosive hop, so all was not lost. They're up in the BMX section. Peep them up!

Animals!
I've been taking a few pet pictures lately. My friend Iain got a cat who I wanted to take pics of, and my sister also got 2 new cats at the same time. My mum is a dog-sitter, where she looks after peoples dogs when they go away on holiday, rather than putting them in a kennel. She sometimes gets some funny characters in, like Betty a fat Bassett Hound who looks like a seal when she rolls on her back. I have put in a new section for Animals because I'm sure there will be more. Go and have a look!

Down and Out
Well it looks like Haggler has broken his hand and may be out for a good few weeks. This sucks because it means i pretty much have nobody to ride with. On the plus side though I did just stumble across a wicked picture of him I forgot all about. Nothing fancy, just chilling at Farnborough. Go have a peep. x

Wales and that
My legs are still aching a bit after going to the Brecon Beacons in Wales over the weekend with my Dad. We walked a few miles on Saturday, we took a trip up Pen Y Fan in the afternoon even though it was pretty cloudy. We didn't go to the top because of the weather, and I'm pretty sure the view would have been amazing on a clear day.
On Sunday we spent a few hours on the edge of death tying not to fall off rocks in to the waterfalls below. I can't remember the names of any of the falls, but they were all pretty cool. It would be good to go there with someone with local knowledge because I'm sure there are some much better photo opportunities than i got. You can See the pics in the Travel section.
In other news I just got a Holga. If you're an art student the chances are you'll already know about these, but i only just got told about them. Basically it's a really plasticky, cheap medium format camera from China, with very basic controls and unpredictable (but in a good way) results. To see more about Holgas go here
As you can see, I have a rather advanced model, complete with a real hot-shoe to attach a flash, 2 apertures (one of which is completely useless) and 4 focusing distances. Not forgetting of course a thread for a tripod.
The sad thing is I actually had a dream about this camera i was so excited about getting it.
Jeesus!
Oh yeah, I stuck up some more pics in the People section, mostly from Gay Pride in Brighton over the summer. Go there NoW!! QUICK!

Amazing!
I just checked up to see what my friends at Zeal BMX Distribution have been up to. Imagine my delight and almost uncontrollable excitement when I saw this gem! They used the pic in an Alone AD in Ride UK a couple of months back, now Big Money Brian (with no hair a looking quite hard) has gone and made it in to a T!!!! Sick as, I'm pestering for a proper ltd edition run of these badboys!
In Other news there is a small spider on my screen, but he seems ok so i'll let him jst chill there for a bit.
Peas x

Spooks Trails on Sunday...........
It was Daysons 21st birthday celebrations over the weekend, we all went out and had a good time, followed by a nice Sunday roast and some riding in the afternoon at Spooks. The trails there are amazing, all wonky and hippy, i think there's only about 2 straight jumps there! Ian was nice enough to ket us ride there, and Adam Bora who I haven't seen since Canada I think was there too so that was pretty cool. Hagler and Dayson were going of as usual, I fell off and cursed the trails as usual, and everyone else just chilled out and looked for nuts and berries. I'll be going back there for sure, maybe I'll be able to ride them a bit better next time!
Oh yeah, also Dayson got one of the old B-List slogans tattoed on his leg by iain, who's apprenticing as a tattooist! Cool huh!

Sheffield Invasion
Snowy visited this weekend from Sheffield with 2 friends, Pulf and Nev in tow. They visted the park and filmed some stuff. Pulf did the HSBC gap to rail which (to my knowlege) hasn't been been done before. He took it a few times but nailed it in the end. Then we went back to my house, Moses cooke an amazing chilli and we atched Topgun. Good times. I think the vid ill be called Slack or something like that so keep an eye our for it!

Teddy!
I went round my boy Iain's house the other night for my weekly scratch/bite attack by Teddy his amazing Kitty! To be honest Teddy is a fucker, you can't even twitch a toe without him thinking it's something he can attack, but he's pretty cute so it's ok. My Girlfriend Jo was a bit scared of Teddy, a seemingly new concept to him, but one which he found most exciting, spending every moment possible stalking her like some prey! I felt a bit bad for laughing, but it was pretty funny. Here's some pics of Teddy for your eyes.

Arrash WTF
I haven't seen it yet, but Arrash got a WTF in the back of Ride UK this month. Gareth Howell from Wisley/Epsom way took the pic and I wrote the words. I think there's also some article from the MoVment roadtrip to Europe, so hopefully he'll have some more pics in there. Good to see he's finally getting coverage!
In other news I pulled some nose manuals on the mini. Actually stoked.
Byenow! xx

RIP i3MX.Com
Yup, it's finally gone. For those that don't know i3mx was started a long time ago by Kris Forge (Local Hero) and was the main hub of BMX community communication for the Farnborough and surrounding scenes.
Through its years of existence I3mx has been the place to communicate activities and manoeuvres, who's riding where, what jams are happening, who's going on what roadtrip etc. And when those things did happen the pictures would go up and a story might be told. And everyone was welcome to get involved.
Over the last 2 years or so the i3mx guestbook was slowly becoming used less and less, with many people favouring Myspace to communicate their actions. The Media pages became updated more and more seldom, until eventually only one or two of us would post up the occasional news piece.
So times move on, things have to change. I can honestly say that i3mx has helped me develop my photography, without a place to post up my pictures and write about my experiences my interest may have wained. So it is indeed the end of an era.
Thanks Kris for keeping i3mx going for so long, and to everyone who contributed to it.
It will be missed

Melbourn Trails
Had a proper good day on Saturday. Me, Haggler and Dayson took a trip to Melbourn Trails, near Cambridge. A bit of a treck but they're fun. As usual the two people who can actually ride trails did so, very well, and so i made the most of it with the camera. Just for the record, I did get through once or twice, but took it like a bitch on a long low set at about 100mph and this stuff is hard. That's my excuse for putting the bike down and piking my camera up anyway.
So here's some photaes
